Boet’s World Rust: 2x, teams of 4, weekend raids only
What you are joining

Rust you can play with a job

Vanilla Rust with the parts that punish people who work for a living taken out: a faster grind, small teams, and a base that is still there on Monday.

2x gather

Trees, ore, pickups, farming, quarries and the excavator all give double. Loot, crafting times and everything else stay vanilla, so it still feels like Rust.

Teams of four

The game stops a fifth player joining your team, and the admins treat two teams working together as one group. Nobody gets zerged by a clan of twelve.

Raiding on weekends

Bases can only be damaged by players from Friday 18:00 to Sunday midnight, South African time. Monday to Friday you build, farm and fight in the open.

No offline raiding

Even on the weekend, a base can only be raided while someone from it is online. Log off after a session and your stuff is safe. Logging out mid-raid does not save you.

Hosted in Johannesburg

On GG Host hardware in South Africa, 50 slots, with a South African lobby and expats welcome. Local ping, and admins you can reach in the Discord.

Monthly wipes

A fresh map on Facepunch’s forced wipe, the first Thursday of the month. Blueprints stay until Facepunch forces a blueprint wipe, so what you learn carries over.

How to join

No mods to download. The server runs its rules itself.

  1. Own Rust. Buy and install it from Steam.
  2. Find the server. Open Play Game, choose the Modded tab (any server with house plugins is listed there) and search BOET. Favourite it while you are there.
  3. Put down a tool cupboard first. Raid protection covers what stands within a cupboard’s range, and only the people authorised on it count as the owners. No cupboard, no protection.
  4. Learn two commands. Type /raid in chat to see whether raiding is open and for how long, and /rules for the house rules.
  5. Link Steam on the portal. A free Boet’s World account with Steam linked tells the admins and the Discord who you are on the server.
Create your account Members get the F1 connect command and the full steps on their connect page.

House rules

The same house rules as everywhere on Boet’s World, plus the ones Rust needs. Type /rules in game for the short version.

  • No cheating, ever.Cheats, scripts, macros, recoil scripts, ESP, exploits and abusing a glitch. Permanent, and shared with the other Boet’s World servers.
  • No racism, no hate.In chat or on voice. Banter is fine; abuse is not.
  • South Africans only, expats welcome. The lobby is local so the fights are fair. If you are a South African playing from abroad, you are one of us.
  • Teams of up to four. The game enforces it. No alliances, door-camping partnerships or “neighbours” that take a group past four.
  • Raiding is Friday 18:00 to Sunday midnight.South African time, and only while someone from the base is online. The server enforces both: damage outside the window or against an offline base does nothing.
  • Protection needs a tool cupboard.Only what stands in a cupboard’s range is protected. A stash or a box in the open is fair game any time.
  • No combat logging.A raid that started while you were on stays open for 30 minutes after you leave.
  • Build fair.No building inside rocks or terrain, no blocking monuments or roads, and nothing that can only be raided by glitching.
  • No real-money trading.Selling items, bases or accounts for real money gets both sides banned.

Rust in South Africa: the questions

Is there a South African Rust server?

Yes. Boet’s World Rust is hosted in Johannesburg with 50 slots and a South African lobby. Search BOET on the Modded tab in Rust’s server browser.

When does it open?

Thursday 5 November 2026, from 21:00 South African time, on the first fresh map after Facepunch’s November forced wipe.

When can bases be raided?

From Friday 18:00 to Sunday midnight, South African time, and only while someone authorised on the base’s tool cupboard, or one of their teammates, is online. The rest of the week player damage to a protected base does nothing.

What counts as offline?

Nobody authorised on the cupboard, and none of their teammates, is on the server. Someone who logged off less than ten minutes ago still counts as home, and a raid that was allowed keeps going for 30 minutes even if the owners leave, so logging out to save a base does not work.

What does 2x mean here?

Double resources from gathering: trees, ore nodes, pickups like hemp and stones, farming, quarries, pump jacks and the excavator. Loot tables, crafting times and upkeep are vanilla.

When does it wipe?

The map wipes monthly on Facepunch’s forced wipe, the first Thursday of the month, at about 21:00 South African time. Blueprints are kept until Facepunch forces a blueprint wipe.

How big can a team be?

Four players. The game will not let a fifth join, and the admins treat two teams working together as one group.

Do I need to download mods?

No. The house rules are server plugins, so there is nothing to install. It is listed on the Modded tab because of them.

Does it cost anything?

No. The server is free to play on. A free Boet’s World account gets you the connect details; supporters keep the servers running, but nothing in the game is sold.
