Terms

Plain terms for a community site and a community game server. Using either means you accept these.

Who we are

Boet’s World is an independent gaming community based in South Africa. We run this website and a community game server for WARDOGS. You can reach us at privacy@boets.world.

We are not the game’s publisher

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or partnered with the developers or publisher of WARDOGS. WARDOGS and all related names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and are used here only to describe which game our community server runs. Buying the game, and anything that happens inside it, is between you and its publisher and Steam.

Using the server

Our community server is free and open to anyone who owns the game and follows the house rules published on the front page. Those rules are the agreement. Admins may remove any player from the server or the Discord, at their discretion, without notice and without owing an explanation — most often for cheating, hate speech or harassment.

Events and tournaments

Community events and tournaments run on the same server under the same house rules, plus any rules published on the event’s own page, which you accept when you enter. Results come from the game server’s own data; admins may correct a result where that data is wrong and their decision on the night is final. Prizes are as described on the event page, go only to players who entered, checked in and took part, and are delivered through the Discord account linked to the winner’s portal profile.

Contributions

Contributions through SnapScan are voluntary gifts towards the cost of running the server. They buy no access, perk or priority, which is what the supporter membership is for, and we are not a registered charity, so they are not tax-deductible. If you paid by mistake, tell us in the Discord within seven days and we will send it back.

No promises about uptime

This is a community server run by volunteers, not a paid service. It may be down, wiped, restarted, reconfigured or shut down permanently at any time. Nothing on it is guaranteed to persist, and nothing here is a service you have bought.

No warranty, no liability

The site and the server are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using them — including lost game progress, lost time, or anything another player says or does. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under South African consumer law that cannot lawfully be limited.

Links away from here

We link to Discord and to Steam. Those are other companies with their own terms, and we are not responsible for what happens on them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and it carries the date it changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
